Today we begin the second week of our retreat Being Brave, Transforming Our World, led by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Ani Pema Chödrön. Today’s teaching, “Basic Goodness and Confusion,” is the first of two in the retreat that will be taught by Ani Pema, perhaps the most revered Western-born teacher of Buddhism alive today. She begins the teaching by urging us to have a gentle and welcoming attitude toward whatever arises, pleasant or not (and it’s not always pleasant!)
The retreat is open to Tricycle Community Supporting and Sustaining Members, but a brief preview of this video is available on the retreat teaching page.
A special DVD set—produced exclusively for Tricycle Community members—is also avaiulable, and it contains 8 hours of material featuring both Anu pema, the sakyong, and Acharya Adam Lobel, who leads our discussion. The DVD set is available for Tricycle Community Members at any level. Get yours here.
Thank you for subscribing to Tricycle! As a nonprofit, we depend on readers like you to keep Buddhist teachings and practices widely available.
