In Week 3 of his Tricycle Retreat Natural Bravery, Acharya Gaylon Ferguson discusses “opening into the space around us.” He says:

The meditation practice you could say is like pilot light to illuminate something that’s present in our lives every moment from day to day. There’s change. It’s never, “Seen one day, you’ve seen them all.” That’s a way of smearing over and dulling out the fact that from moment to moment we actually never know what to expect in the next moment. It’s always unpredictable. Unexpected things happen all the time.
