Giving care to others is not enough. Giving care to yourself is not enough. Caring comes from the intimacy of the moment. In this retreat, Koshin Paley Ellison and Robert Chodo Campbell, Zen teachers and co-founders of the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, will explore one of the Buddha’s last instructions: the Eight Awarenesses. Through koans, humor, and stories from their work, they will investigate and discuss impactful ways to practice care moment to moment.

Retreat Begins June 3, 2013
