How can we live meaningful, purposeful, and ethical lives in a world where injustice seems to multiply by the day? A 16th-generation Zen priest in the Rinzai lineage, Reverend Masaki Matsubara, Ph.D., will introduce ways to bring dignity into our own lives and the lives of others as he explores Zen Buddhism’s model for ethical engagement. Reviewing core Japanese Buddhist concepts and practices such as en (karma), tea ceremony, and meditation, Rev. Matsubara will show us how Zen teachings can help us move through the world with kindness, gentleness, and compassionate clarity.
