Tricycle Meditation Month 2025:
Mindfulness, Wisdom, and Compassion
with John Dunne
Join Tricycle’s free month-long meditation program to learn about the pillars of Buddhism and mindfulness with meditation teacher John Dunne.
Welcome to Tricycle Meditation Month, our annual challenge to commit to a daily practice throughout January. Whether you’re new to meditating or a longtime practitioner, our free 31-day challenge is a great way to kickstart your practice and set aside more time for calm and clarity in your life. We’ll be supporting you along the way with an array of meditations, tips, inspiration, and resources.
This year, we’ll explore mindfulness, the foundation of all Buddhist meditative practices, as we ask the questions, “What is meditation and what is it good for?” While appreciating how secularized mindfulness has entered the cultural mainstream as an effective way to deal with stress and other issues, we will see that, for Buddhist practice, mindfulness meditation is deeply connected to the cultivation of wisdom and compassion for the achievement of our spiritual goals. We will also experiment with bringing mindful awareness into our daily lives and cultivating greater flourishing for ourselves and others.
Our free offerings throughout the month include:
• A new video teaching each week from Meditation Month teacher John Dunne. This year’s theme is Mindfulness, Wisdom, and Compassion: Exploring the Nature of Experience.
• Daily emails with a new meditation prompt each day
• An online sangha of practitioners who you can connect with in a dedicated discussion group
