Oscar-nominated documentary Burma VJ to have its TV debut on HBO

The Oscar-nominated documentary Burma VJ: Reporting from a Closed Country will have its television debut on HBO on April 20th. This is excellent news, bringing a worthy film before a much wider audience. HBO’s site for the film is here. The courage of Burmese journalists daring to criticize the regime and covering the uprising can scarcely be imagined from our cozy perches in the West.

The film is directed by Anders Ostergaard.
