birrosThe first man to to be executed with a single injection was denied the request to wear the kata—a white ceremonial scarf used as an auspicious offering among Tibetan Buddhists—but was told he’d be allowed to hold it, according to the Tribune Chronical.

Biros was convicted for the murder and dismemberment of a woman he met in a bar in 1991.
