Today we begin our Tricycle Retreat with David Rome on Focusing. If you’re not sure what Focusing is, you’re not alone. Not so long ago, even David Rome didn’t know! You can read his story of coming to the practice here, in “Focusing and Meditating” from the Fall 2011 issue of Tricycle, in which he describes the technique of focuing as “a radically simple yet endlessly subtle contemplative practice that helped me to build a reliable and resilient bridge from the cushion of sitting meditation to the nitty-gritty of everyday life”
