The Tricycle staff is sitting, as we sometimes do, but I have declined today due to lower back pain. It is a shame to forgo my budding practice because of lumbar woes, but alas, the thought of sitting, cross-legged on the zafu for twenty minutes with no back support today is daunting. Susan Moon offered some advice in her piece “Leaving the Lotus Position” that ran in the winter 2008 issue. Any suggestions from folks?
