The Buddha wasn’t just a prophet or religious leader—he was an educator who used the tools of reason and inquiry to teach his students about the nature of reality.
In his new book Wisdom Is Bliss: Four Friendly Fun Facts That Can Change Your Life, Robert Thurman—the preeminent Tibetan Buddhist scholar, author and translator, and president of Tibet House US—guides a journey into the Buddha’s threefold curriculum of “super education” as a path to direct realization and lasting happiness.
Join us September 21 at 4 p.m. EST for a live conversation between Thurman and Tricycle Editor-in-Chief James Shaheen, which explore themes from the book including the nature of reality as bliss, the eightfold path as a training in “realism,” and how to find joy along our own path of learning.
Join this live conversation on Zoom, September 21 at 4-5 p.m. EST, 1-2 p.m. PST.
