In Won Buddhism, the threefold practice—absorption, inquiry, and making mindful choices—maps out the path to spiritual freedom. Rev. Grace Song describes how these principles work together to help us develop a more balanced practice that puts Buddhist wisdom into action in our daily lives.

Rev. Grace Song is a Kyomunim (ordained minister) in the Won Buddhist tradition and the department chair of Won Buddhist Studies at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies. She is a Buddhist chaplain at the University of Pennsylvania and also serves on the Mayor’s Commission on Faith-Based and Interfaith Affairs in Philadelphia.
