In this online retreat, former monastics Kittisaro and Thanissara familiarize us with the habit of papanca, or “conceptual proliferation,” which the Buddha considered to be a severe impediment to the development of an awakened mind. Kittisaro and Thanissara offer practices that allow us to turn that discerning mind back on itself, noticing thoughts simply as thoughts and treasuring the space in between them. Once and for all, we’ll learn how to train that monkey mind to resist the next morsel of juicy gossip or click-bait.
