Join us in-person in New York City for a Q&A and book-signing co-presented with Tibet House to celebrate the publication of Ann Tashi Slater’s Traveling in Bardo: The Art of Living in an Impermanent World.
“In a world where nothing lasts forever, how do we live?” Ann Tashi Slater asks in the first chapter of her new book, Traveling in Bardo: The Art of Living in an Impermanent World. Reflecting on personal experience, Buddhist wisdom, and her Tibetan-American heritage, Slater contextualizes the teachings of the bardo, the state between death and rebirth, and helps us consider how these traditional teachings can help us live fuller, happier lives. The bardo also represents the transitory nature of life between birth and death, after all, and the wisdom therein encourages us to embrace and find deeper meaning in the face of inevitable change.
This is a free event, in-person in New York City, co-presented with Tibet House. We invite you to purchase the book ahead of time with a 25% discount, or purchase it at the event for the full price.
