Every March is Meditation Month at Tricycle. Our annual challenge to sit every day through March 31 is a great opportunity to reinvigorate your practice or get a new one off the ground. And you won’t be alone. With a new guided meditation video each week, a steady stream of helpful articles here on Trike Daily, and a Facebook discussion group where you can get in on the conversation with practitioners from all over the world, you’ll have all the resources you need.

Starting on Thursday, March 1, our lead Meditation Month teacher, Mindy Newman, will lead weekly guided meditation videos. New videos will be posted every Thursday.

In this series, Newman, a member of the meditation teaching faculty at the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science in New York City, will focus on helping you overcome the biggest obstacles to establishing a consistent practice. Newman’s lessons build on one another, starting from the body and moving to the mind and then past the cushion, considering what ripple effects your practice will have on your life.

The schedule is as follows:

Join Newman for an introductory live call on Wednesday, March 7th from 8-9pm EST on our Meditation Month Facebook page, where she will be available to answer any questions you have about your practice. And mark your calendars: Newman will wrap up Meditation Month with a second live call on March 29 from 8-9pm EST.

In addition to Newman’s videos, we’ll have articles throughout the month to help keep you motivated, with meditation and practice advice from beloved teachers like Joseph Goldstein, Pema Chödrön . . . and the Buddha himself. Sign up for our Meditation Month Newsletter below to stay up-to-date on all our latest releases.

Happy sitting!
