D. T. Suzuki

D. T. Suzuki (1870–1966) was a Japanese scholar and translator whose writings introduced Zen Buddhism to the West. A lay Rinzai practitioner, he taught at Otani University and Columbia University and authored influential works including Essays in Zen Buddhism and An Introduction to Zen Buddhism.
