Musō Soseki

Musō Soseki (1275 – 1351) was a Buddhist monk, poet, calligrapher, and garden designer. He is known for creating the gardens at Tenryū-ji, one of the head temples of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, where he served as the first chief priest.
