On March 26 at 1 p.m. ET scholar Richard K. Payne will lead us in a discussion about tantra. Referencing his new book, Tantra Across the Buddhist Cosmopolis, Payne will explain how tantric practices have evolved from early medieval India to the present day, and why it makes more sense to study tantra through the lens of practice, instead of religion. He’ll also explain common misconceptions about tantric practices and teachings, including the history behind them.
