The foreign minister of the Netherlands speaks out against Burma’s recent rash of prison sentences, and Doctors Without Borders issues an AIDS alert for the country.

Meanwhile in China, the government claims it released more than 1,000 people detained during the rioting. There seems to be no reason to doubt this, considering how many people were arrested.
