You’ve likely spent the last 31 days turning inward and working on your own practice. In the video below, Lama Surya Das speaks about the importance of opening up to those around you—at home, at work, and in the meditation hall.
“I am going to be talking about seeing through the illusion of separateness, recognizing that we are never alone; or put another way, we are all alone together here,” Lama Surya Das says in the video.“That none of us can do it alone—take my word for it, I have tried. We need others to get enlightened, as His Holiness the Dalai Lama always says. Because we need to develop empathic, warm compassion and lovingkindness, mutuality, and reciprocity. Which is our subject here of inter-meditation, co-meditation. It is shared spirituality, and awakening together.”
