Bokara Legendre

Bokara Legendre (1940–2017) was a philanthropist, writer, and performer. Her autobiographical monologues were produced in theaters on both coasts, and can be heard online at The Moth. She produced and hosted a television series, served as art critic for Newsroom on KQED, and had a radio column on WNYC. Her memoir, Not What I Expected (Balboa Press), was published in 2017.
