Touching the Timeless

Accepting death is the key to a meaningful life. But doing so isn’t easy. Buddhist teachings can help us transcend a dualistic view of life and death, helping us to treasure each day we have. By turning towards impermanence and our own mortality, we can touch the timeless in the here and now. In this Dharma Talk series, Reverend Marvin Harada shares inspiring examples from the Shin tradition of people and practices that will help us face mortality.
Reverend Marvin Harada is the Bishop of the Buddhist Churches of America, a Shin Buddhist organization and one of the oldest Buddhist organizations in the United States. From 1986 to 2020 he served as the Resident Minister at the Orange County Buddhist Church in Anaheim, California.
