Poet, translator, and Zen Buddhist priest Norman Fischer shares lessons from his decades of practice: from relationships, to emptiness, to activism, to cultural encounters between East and West.
Norman Fischer is a poet, translator, and Zen Buddhist priest. A senior dharma teacher at the San Francisco Zen Center, he is also the founder and spiritual director of the Everyday Zen Foundation, an organization dedicated to adapting Zen Buddhist teachings to Western culture. His latest book is When You Greet Me I Bow: Notes and Reflections from a Life in Zen, published by Shambhala Publications in May 2021.
