Hozan Alan Senauke was installed on January 31, 2021, as the Berkeley Zen Center’s new abbot. He also founded and oversees the Clear View Project, a charitable organization that provides communities in need with Buddhist-based sources for relief and social change. He is the author of The Bodhisattva’s Embrace: Dispatches from Engaged Buddhism’s Front Lines.
