Alexandra Cain , M.Div, earned her Master’s of Divinity degree in Buddhism and inter-religious engagement from Union Theological Seminary with a focus on socially engaged Buddhism. She is lay ordained by the Brooklyn Zen Center in the Soto Zen lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi and the San Francisco Zen Center. And she has earned a 50-hour certification in Movement Chaplaincy through the Faith Matters Network, as well as 1600 accredited hours of clinical pastoral education (CPE) as a spiritual caregiver at New York City jails, rehabs, and hospitals through the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education.
