Jan Nattier is a visiting scholar at the Numata Center for Buddhist Studies, University of California, Berkeley, and has made significant contributions to the understanding of early developments of Mahayana Buddhism. Her publications include The Northern School and the Formation of Early Chan Buddhism, Once Upon a Future Time: Studies in a Buddhist Prophecy of Decline , and A Few Good Men: The Bodhisattva Path according to The Inquiry of Ugra (Ugrapariprccha).
