Meher McArthur is an Asian art historian specializing in Japanese art. She has curated exhibitions and organized programs for numerous institutions, including the Pacific Asia Museum, JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, and International Arts & Artists. Her books include Reading Buddhist Art (2002), The Arts of Asia (2005), Washi Transformed: New Expressions in Japanese Paper (2021), and A Japanese Art Journey: A Curator's Memoir of Polka Dot Pumpkins, Paper Dolls, and Woodblock Prints (2025).
