BJ Miller is an established thought leader in the area of serious illness, end-of-life issues, and death. He has been a physician for nineteen years and has counseled over 1,000 patients and family members. He is co-author of the book A Beginner's Guide to the End: Practical Advice for Living Life and Facing Death (2019). With Sonya Doylan, he is cofounder of Mettle Health, a multidisciplinary group of doctors, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, who provide online palliative care services by phone or video chat.
